INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy describes how Airauto processes its customers’ personal data.
Our privacy policy complies with the provisions of the applicable legislation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”). It applies to data collected from our customers via the website, to information collected by the reservations department or through travel agencies and tour operators.
By using our website or contacting us to use our services, you consent to the collection and processing of your data as described in this privacy policy.

At the start of the contract, the customer/renter provides their personal details and those of the vehicle’s driver(s) for identification purposes under the terms of the contract, expressly authorising AIRAUTO to process this information electronically.

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (GDPR), AIRAUTO hereby provides the following information:

  • AIRAUTO is the data controller responsible for processing the personal data provided under the contract; its registered office is at Estrada do Aeroporto, 427-A, Vale das Almas, 8005-146 Faro, Portugal;
  • In accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, the purpose of processing personal data is the conclusion and performance of this car hire agreement;
  • In accordance with Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR, personal data may be disclosed to third parties where necessary to ensure compliance with any legal obligations to which AIRAUTO is subject, in particular to judicial authorities, criminal investigation authorities, tax and customs authorities, and regulatory bodies;
  • Personal data may only be processed for other purposes where the data subject has given their express consent to AIRAUTO;
  • AIRAUTO will retain the personal data processed for the period necessary to provide the services, issue the relevant invoices and comply with legal obligations.

At any time, the data subject has the right to:

  • Access them, within the limits of the contract and the GDPR;
  • To amend them and object to their processing;
  • Decide on the automated processing of such data;
  • Withdraw consent;
  • Request the erasure of your data and exercise any other rights provided for under current legislation (except for data that is essential for the performance of the contract and is therefore mandatory to provide, as well as for the fulfilment of legal obligations to which AIRAUTO is subject).

If you withdraw your consent, this does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point.
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to be notified in the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, and you may lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority(ies).

Personal data may be disclosed to third parties providing services to AIRAUTO, where such services require the disclosure of data contained in rental agreements.
